#TXOTX2022 will run from February 21st through February 28th. Throughout the entirety of the festival, bars and restaurants throughout Texas will be pouring Sagardoa and Txakolina. Thursday, February 4: Talk Taste Travel: A Virtual Tour of the Basque Country with 13 Celsius
Adele Corrigan of 13 Celsius along with the Texas Txotx founder Chris Poldoian and local luxury travel advisor, Kristen Sandvig of Lionhound Travel will be your virtual tour guides as you jet-set from the comfort of your own home to the Basque region of Spain and France. You’ll be given a tour of the famous city of San Sebastian along with other notable "must-dos" for anyone planning a future trip to the real gastronomic capital of Europe. To enhance the experience and evoke that 'wanderlust' feeling, we will be tasting 2 unique wines and 1 authentic cider along the way. Saturday, February 6: Basque Masterclass at The Texas Wine School
From 4-6PM, AOC Director of Operations Brandon Kerne & Texas Txotx founder Chris Poldoian will lead attendees through the history and terroir of the Basque Country with over a dozen beverages, from the unfiltered ciders to saline white, rosé, and rare red txakolina to age-worthy bottlings from cult Rioja Alavesa producers.
